Areas of Specialization My areas of specialization are quite well rounded. Having been through 3 real estate cycles here in Hawaii, has given me a good understanding of our various market conditions. I believe in giving my clients as much information as possible so they can make educated decisions and not just emotional decisions. I mostly work with West Hawaii properties, but I am familiar with most areas on the island. If someone's preference is another island, we have 13 offices in the state so I can put you in touch with a qualified Realtor on any island. My passion for years was surfing and I can recommend many of the great areas for surfing, snorkeling, diving and fishing. Where to begin...My most cherished accomplishment is my wonderful family that I have been blessed with. My daughter is working on her masters in psychology and my grandaughter is in kindergarten, dances hula and loves music. My husband is retired so he is the man behind the scenes that offers so much support. And then there are our 2 dogs and 3 cats to round out the family. I became licensed in real estate in 1979. The same year, I also was accepted in Operating Engineers Union as an apprentice heavy equipment operator. I was the pioneer for women in the industry and became the first jouney"woman" operator on the island of Hawaii in 1983. All the while I was still involved with real estate, investing in my first property in 1979 and completing my first home in 1983. I also graduated from the Realtor Institute in 1981. Working the dual careers gave me great insight into grading properties, utility concerns and a real eye for the potential of vacant property. Over the years I branched out to include residential and condominium sales. I received my Broker's license in 1992. I joined Century 21 Big Island in 1997 and in 2001 our current owner purchased the company and changed the name to Century 21 All Islands. I have been Broker-in Charge of our Kona office since 2002 and quit operating heavy equipment, although I still own a tractor that I use on my 6.9 acre Macadamia nut orchard (another project I forgot to mention). I received my CRS designation in 2006.
